Abstract

The frost resistance and waterproofed of the concrete developed are 500 cycles and 8 to 12 W which is considerably higher than the requirements of the Building Code 2.03.01-84 for roof structures (300 cycles and 6 W, respectively). The concrete does not require waterproof and frost resisting coatings. The fino-grained concrete developed consisted of the following materials: M 500 and 600 portland cement( 520-640 k kg/m³), slag sand (925-1085 kg/m³), hydro-rernoved ash ( 185 - 220 kg/m³ ), water (215 - 250 kg/m³) and 136-157 M hydrophobic admixture (0.1 percent by weight of cement). The 1-year investigation on physicomechanical properties of the concrete demonstrated its advantage over the ordinary concrete. The prism-to-cube strength ratio for the concrete developed and ordinary concrete were 0.8 to 0.85 and 0.70 to 0.75, respectively. At I year, the shrinkage strains and creep for the fine-grained and ordinary concrete were 0.10 to 0.15 mm/m, 0.22 to 0.25 mm/m and 0. 14 to 0.24 mm/m , 0.27 to 0.34 mm/m, respectively. The modulus of elasticity of the concrete investigated was 1.1 to 1.3 higher than that of the ordinary concrete. The concrete is used at the Tom-Usinsky large-panel house-building plant
